FRP Grating-Pultrusion |
Specification
FRP Grating made out of pultruded section is an ideal solution for the corrosion problems faced in Industrial environments and also it solves problem of theft in Domestic Utility.
It is the right replacement for steel or aluminum gratings used in highly corrosive atmosphere.
Crescent Grat often outlasts steel 20 to 1 times and it is a long term investment, where frequent grating and walkways replacement cost are unacceptable.
Pultruded Gratings are manufactured by assembly of Pultruded I Beams (Load Bearing members) & Pultruded Cross Rods (Cross Locking members). The distance between the I Beams is 40 mm, whereas the distance between the Cross Rod varies as per the Load requirement of the application. Kindly refer the Product chart below for your application needs |

Pultruded Fiberglass Grating |
Pultruded Fiberglass Grating is a fiberglass (FRP) structural shape that is produced by dipping fiberglass such as strand, mat and veil in a liquid resin bath and then pulling this combination through a heated die which shapes and cures the composite before it comes out the other end. It is a continuous and highly efficient method of producing a standard cross section.
A pultruded FRPG is a series of I or T shaped structural members (the bearing bars) that are mechanically strung together with evenly placed dowels or cross bars. This is similar to the way many steel and aluminum gratings are assembled.
The pultrusion is produced by dipping fiberglass such as strand, mat and veil in a liquid resin bath and then pulling this combination through a heated die which shapes and cures the composite before it comes out the other end. The cross bars often are slotted to provide some mechanical strength and the holes are then coated with epoxy. It is a continuous and highly efficient method of producing a standard cross section.
As a result of this system's construction, this can be assembled in various panel sizes and with multiple cross rod and bar spacing to provide for different requirements. The main benefit of the pultruded type is higher glass content which provides for a superior load capacity than it's molded counterpart. |

special specifications on request available. The above specifications are only for reference.
In using FRP grating, the principle is similar to that of metal grating, but the flexural modulus of elasticity of reinforced fiberglass bars is lower than that of steel. As a result, the allowable deflection has to be taken into consideration. The style of installation for FRP grating can be classified as secure installation, standard installation and 1% deflect installation. |
